Sapa,
situated in the North-West of Vietnam was discovered in
the beginning of the 20th century by the French. This
hill station, at an altitude of 1500m, is endowed with
a cool climate year-round. Sapa is the home of numerous
hill-tribes, under which the Zao, Niang, Sa pho, and H’Mong
people. Their villages are covered by the shadow of the
Fan Xi Pan Mount, the Roof on
Indochina
(3,143m above sea level). The environment is stunning
with its breathtaking beauty of mountain ranges and terraced
rice fields. You will go underneath the surface of the
local culture by experiencing some interesting home stays
in the houses on stilts of the hill-tribe people. Back
to basic, recognizing the simplicity of life. |

ITINERARY:

01.
(Option 1)From
Hanoi to Sapa by bus
Day 01: Hanoi - Sapa (L,D)
bus
We leave Hanoi in the early morning by bus and drive towards
Sapa. The trip is long, but worthwhile as we pass a variety
of landscapes which are offering stunning views. Me make some
stops on our way to meet the Tay people, who welcome us with
their warm friendly smiles. We will be surrounded by children
who curiously start to practice their English with us. We continue
our way up to Yen Bai. From here we enter the zone of impressive
mountains and thick forest. We make a stop in Lao Cai, where
we will have a view upon China! After arrival in Sapa you will
have some time to stroll around Sapa Town
on your own after we check-in in our hotel.
Day 02: Sapa (B,L,D) - jeep and trek
In our jeep you will be transferred to Su Pan village, the home
of the black H'mong people. From here we walk towards Thanh
Phu village to meet the Tay hilltribe, where we have lunch,
prepared by our local hosts. After lunch we continue our way
up to Sin Chai village to learn more about the Red Dzao hilltribe.
Here we have a home-stay in one of the houses on stilts of the
local people. An experience that you will not forget anymore!
Day 03: Sapa (B,L,D) - trek
Today our trek continues from Sin Chai to Suoi Thau. Here we
will experience our second
homestay in the houses of the
Red Dzou people.
Day 04: Sapa (B,L,D) - trek +
jeep
We return by foot to Su Pan. Our jeep will be waiting to transfer
you to Sapa where we spend the night in a hotel.
Day 05: Sapa (B,L,D)
After
breakfast in hotel we leave for a climb on the Ham
Rong Mount. From here we will have
a fantastic panoramic view over Sapa Town. Sometimes the mountain
is covered in clouds and mist, which offers a mysterious landscape.
Great opportunity to make some pictures. We bring a visit to
the Sapa Market crowded
by colorful hill tribes. Handicrafts and local products are
for sale, great opportunity to find some souvenirs for the loved
ones at home. We spend the night in a hotel in Sapa
Town.
Day
06 : Sapa - Lao Cai - Hanoï (B,L) - bus
We
transfer you back to Lao Cai where visit the Cau Kieu (Beauty
Bridge). From here you can see Hekou, a Chinese town situated
just upon the other side of the Red
River. At the end of the day we drive back to Hanoi.
End of our service.
02.
(Option 2). From Hanoï to Sapa by train
Day
01 : Hanoi
-Lao Cai- train
(B, L, D)
We will catch the train towards Lao Cai at 21h30. We overnight
in our tourist sleeper wagon to sleep during the journey that
will lasts for at least 10 hours.
Day 02: Lao Cai - Sapa (B,L,D)
- bus + trek
We arrive at Lao
Cai railway station in the early
morning where our driver is waiting for us. You will be transferred
to the Sapa Hill Station
on a stunning mountainous road surrounded by hill terraced rice
fields and heavily forested mountains.
The temperature begins to
change as we come higher and higher in altitude. At the altitude
of 1,650 m we reach
Sapa. Sapa is not only an
ideal place for retreat with its moderate climate, it
is also a place of cultural value and breathtaking mountainous
scenery. The town is
inhabited by colorful hill tribes, which are based on the
foot of Fan Xi Pan Mount
(3143m) and other surrounding valleys. Here we spend our time
trekking around, crossing magnificent bridges and witnessing
green rice terraces. During our trek we will be exposed to local
life and the daily activities. The rest of the day will be scheduled
for leisure time to explore Sapa Town on your own with its scattering
colonial houses and bonsai gardens. Tonight we have dinner in
a tranquil restaurant where we taste some typical local specialties
like the ‘Sapa Peach Wine’. We spend the night in a hotel in
town.
Day 03: Sapa (B,L,D) - jeep and
trek
In our jeep you will be transferred to Su Pan village, the home
of the black H'mong people. From here we walk towards Thanh
Phu village to meet the Tay hilltribe, where we have lunch,
prepared by our local hosts. After lunch we continue our way

us to transfer you to Sapa where we spend the night in hotel.

: Sapa - Lao

At the end of the day we catch the train back to Hanoi. Overnight
in the train, sleeper wagon.
Day 07:
Hanoi (-/-)
We arrive in Hanoi in the early morning (around 5AM). The city
wakes up and it is a nice experience to witness that with your
own eyes. Hundreds of people of different generations exercise
"Taichi" around the Restored Sword
Lake...
